“A Grilling Affair” returns to Sanborn Square Park this Saturday!

Summer is here. The crowds are shorter and the days are hotter. And the grills are firin’ up again, as the area’s top chefs strut their stuff for your food-loving delight at the 9th Annual Boca Burger Battle.  After taking a hiatus due to the shutdown, the fan favorite affair takes is finally back – and it happens THIS SATURDAY, July 16 in Sanborn Square Park in downtown Boca Raton. Don’t miss this Burgerlicious experience to taste the best burgers and other grilled sensations, as top chefs from Boca and beyond vie for the coveted Golden Burger Trophy.  A panel of hungry Grill Master Judges will select their pick for “Best Grill Master, and all festival goers (like you!) get to vote for the “People’s Choice Award.”  And the best part, it all goes to benefit the Children’s Giving Foundation.

Here’s your chance to savor unlimited samplings of artisan burger creations from some of the best burger masters; along with unlimited pours of craft beers, summer wines, seasonal spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages; all while enjoying a fun-filled outdoor festival, complete with live music.  This year features an all-star line-up of returning BBB champions, including Boca favorites M.E.A.T. Eatery & Taproom, Burton’s Grill & Bar, Cheffrey Eats Food Truck, and La Perrada Del Gordo; along with Tucker Duke’s Lunchbox (Deerfield Beach), Legends Tavern and Grille (Lighthouse Point), The Vegan Restaurants from Loxahatchee; and Oakland Park’s Funky Buddha Brewery.  Newcomers to the big burger bash this year include The Drunken Burger (Boca), Throw Social (Delray), and Bar Louie (Coconut Creek).

 A select group of culinary professionals and local dignitaries will serve as this year’s Grill Master Judges, including Celebrity Chef Ralph Pagano (of The Naked Taco, Iron Chef America, etc.), CBS-2 news anchor Sam Kerrigan, and Douglas Heizer, Publisher of The Boca Raton Tribune (https://www.bocaratontribune.com/).  Long-time favorite KRUSH Party Band will provide the live entertainment.  “This community event with its “Backyard BBQ” theme showcases some of the best beef and alternative burgers in south Florida, along with an array of thirst-quenching craft beer, seasonal spirits and summer wines” notes event founder and President Russell Spadaccini.

The Boca Burger Battle 2022 takes place Saturday, July 16 at the Sanborn Square Park at 72 N. Federal Highway in downtown Boca Raton; from 7:00 pm (or 6:00 for VIP ticketholders) – 10:00 pm.  All tickets include unlimited food and beverage (beer, wine, and spirits) tastings, live entertainment, and access to all other vendors and displays.

General Admission tickets are $50 in advance, or $100 at the event (if still available); VIP Tickets are $75 in advance, or $125 at the door, and also entitle you to a one-hour EARLY START (at 6:00, instead of 7:00).
